About

Understanding clients’ needs and translating them into beautiful, functional, and personal spaces is my signature approach as a designer, along with my emphasis on customer service. As a result I have long-standing relationships with clients who work with me over the years as their lives and homes evolve.

I know that listening to clients and providing the best possible service is critical to success. This has always been my practice, first in the educational publishing industry as a developer of top-quality resources for schools across the country, and, for the last several years, in the interior decorating and design field as Principal of Allegro Interiors. Education has always been important to me: I have both a Professional Design and Decorating Diploma from the Sheffield School of Interior Design, and a Certificate in Interior Decorating from George Brown College, in addition to an M.A. in French Literature from the University of Toronto.

I was pleased to receive awards in both 2010 and 2011 in the annual CDECA Design Competition. You can read about these projects in the “Transformations” section, under “Country cabin chic” and “From cluttered country to global chic”.

I am a member of the Canadian Decorators’ Association and the editor of its newsletter I.D.E.A.S. In my leisure time I enjoy utilizing my expertise in colour, fabric, and mood as Costume Designer for the PushPULL Dance Company.
