Slumber suprise

A wall bed is a great option for rooms in which you don't want a bed to have a permanent presence in the room, or for open concept spaces in which you want the bed hidden away during the day.

This very small, stylish condo was essentially one open room and the homeowners did not want to limit the living space or look with a regular bed.  To address this request  I designed a wall bed large enough to accommodate a queen-size mattress, with storage and display space on each side of  the bed.

Wall beds are often not the most attractive item, so I designed this one to look like a storage cabinet with multiple cupboards flanked by bookcases; the mix of wood and linen-textured laminate creates visual interest. You would never suspect that this cabinet is actually the underside of the bed!
