When a client expresses love for a particular possession, I listen- inspiration can lie anywhere.
Lindsay was at a loss about what to do with her new, rather non-descript Markham house. The only piece from her previous home that she was bringing to the new living room was a beautiful, over-sized painting of a woman’s face. The softness of the image, the sense of restraint and the colour palette of plums, violets set the tone for me for an elegant, muted room enhanced with shades of plums and touches of gold.
The mystery lady resides by the front window of the room she inspired.
